Poor Yankee. He was adopted from us as an 8 week old puppy. The family that adopted him obviously had zero time for him however. He was left in the back yard and he received little training. Because he was bored and chewed up their sons toys he was turned into BARC without so much as a backward glance. Although we try to screen and hope to make the right choices when we adopt, we do make mistakes. This was definatley a mistake. And Yankee is the one who has suffered for it. They brought him to us at Petco in Redlands this past Saturday. Yankee was terrified. We've never seen a poor dog so frightened. He's calmed down a little but he needs a calm and caring person to nurture his soul and teach him he is a member of a family. Yankee is an absolute stunning dog. He received a lot of attention in the short time he was at Petco. We hope a compassionate family who has time to spend with Yankee, and to love him unconditionally, comes forward to adopt this baby and give him a second chance at a forever home.
